खेमनीचक से मीठापुर के बीच 3.1 किलोमीटर लंबे रूट पर छह बोगी वाली मेट्रो ट्रेनें चलाने की तैयारी है। पुणे मेट्रो से तीन नई ट्रेनें लीज पर आएंगी और जून 2027 तक परिचालन का लक्ष्य रखा गया है।
